Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases

Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases

At the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Clinic of Hayat Sifa Hospital, the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of diseases related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck are performed using modern medical technology and by a team of experienced specialist physicians.

For both adults and children, we provide a holistic approach, creating treatment plans that are optimal from both functional and aesthetic perspectives.

Main Treatments Performed at Our Clinic:

Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to correct nasal deformities and/or functional breathing problems.

Planned with both aesthetic and functional goals in mind, rhinoplasty aims to achieve a natural appearance that is harmonious with the patient’s facial structure.

During the same operation, internal nasal deviations causing nasal obstruction can also be corrected.

Otoplasty (Prominent Ear Correction)

Otoplasty is an aesthetic surgical procedure performed to correct congenital or acquired ear deformities, most commonly known as prominent ears.

The procedure is performed under local or general anesthesia, reshaping the ear to achieve harmony with the head and providing permanent, natural-looking results.

FESS (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery)

Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery is an advanced surgical technique used in the treatment of chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and nasal obstruction.

Using an endoscopic camera through the nasal passages, the sinus pathways are opened and inflamed tissues are removed.

Compared to open surgery, this method is less traumatic and offers a shorter recovery period.

Septoplasty (Correction of Nasal Septum Deviation)

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct deviations of the nasal septum (the cartilage and bone dividing the nasal cavity).

Septal deviation may cause nasal congestion, snoring, or headaches. Surgical correction improves breathing comfort and significantly enhances quality of life.

Turbinate (Concha) Treatment

(Surgical or Radiofrequency Method)

Enlargement of the nasal turbinates (conchae) can obstruct airflow and cause nasal congestion.

Using the radiofrequency method, these tissues are reduced in size to restore normal airflow. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia and allows for rapid recovery.

Endoscopic Tear Sac Surgery (Closed Technique)

Excessive tearing and recurrent infections caused by tear duct obstruction are treated with endoscopic surgery performed through the nasal cavity.

This closed technique is performed without any skin incisions, leaves no visible scars, and allows for a faster recovery.

Adenoid (Adenoidectomy) Surgery

Enlarged adenoids in children may cause nasal obstruction, snoring, mouth breathing, and frequent upper respiratory infections.

Surgical removal of the adenoids improves breathing, reduces infection frequency, and significantly enhances sleep quality.

Tonsillectomy (Tonsil Surgery)

In cases of recurrent tonsillitis or breathing difficulties, surgical removal of the tonsils may be necessary.

Thanks to modern surgical techniques, postoperative pain is minimized and the healing process is significantly shortened.

Snoring and Sleep Apnea Surgery

Tissues such as the soft palate, uvula, or adenoids that contribute to snoring and sleep apnea are surgically corrected to improve airflow.

These procedures help reduce snoring and prevent breathing pauses during sleep, thereby improving overall quality of life.

Tongue-Tie (Frenulum) Surgery

Children with a short lingual frenulum may experience speech and feeding difficulties.

With a simple procedure performed under local anesthesia, the frenulum is released, allowing freer tongue movement.

Following the procedure, significant improvement in speech development is often observed.

Vocal Cord Nodule Surgery

Vocal cord nodules causing hoarseness, voice fatigue, or voice breaks can be surgically removed using microsurgical closed techniques.

Postoperative voice therapy supports recovery and helps restore the natural tone of the voice.

Treatment of Hearing Problems in Children (Ear Tube Insertion)

Fluid accumulation or recurrent infections in the middle ear may lead to hearing loss in children.

By placing a small ventilation tube in the eardrum, middle ear aeration is restored, infection risk is reduced, and permanent hearing loss is prevented.

Tympanoplasty (Eardrum Repair Surgery)

Tympanoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to repair perforations or damage to the eardrum.

This operation helps restore hearing function and reduces the risk of recurrent ear infections.

Surgical Treatment of Chronic Ear Infections (Mastoidectomy)

Long-standing middle ear infections may spread to the mastoid bone.

Through mastoidectomy, infected bone tissue is removed while preserving healthy structures, aiming to prevent permanent hearing loss and widespread infection.
